The best way to think about brands is like you think about car brands. All cars have the same basic functions; you put a key in and go somewhere. Some offer style, class, and upgraded features, the same can be said with airsoft guns.

Echo 1 "makes" great low priced guns the majority of the time.
Makes is in quotes because E1 buys guns from company A and alters their insides and makes a few modifications to make the gun slightly better at a lesser cost. Great brand for beginners.

DBoys is a fairly newer brand. They make their guns shoot hard/fast, but a lot of customers complain that after about a year the insides of the gun are falling apart because they're forcing the insides to do more than it was intended.

And AGM, is also a pretty reliable company.

Now in terms of the SCAR from these 3 companies, I've only handled the E1 and D-boys versions, not the AGM. From what i could tell the E1 and DBoy were pretty equally matched.

The same basic features, same basic look and feel. The only real different was that E1 had a faster rate of fire, where as D-Boys shot a tad bit harder (chono'd 10FPS higher than the E1) . Both guns had relatively the same accuracy. So the question is do you want a faster rate of fire of a slightly harder shooting gun

To add onto what's already been said, longer barrels don't help accuracy – only higher QUALITY barrels AND high quality paint affect accuracy. Well, that and your own ability to aim. Barrel length is purely preference, although if it's too long, the added length actually causes drag on the ball and you lose velocity.

MR1 vs 98 Custom, it's preference. Depends which you like more. They're basically the same from a technical point of view, as they operate in a similar way, have a similar rate of fire, and have about the same number & type of performance upgrades available (Tippmanns have more aesthetic upgrades available, like "sniper" kits or whatever, but those don't affect performance, only looks).

Well first of here is a list of what you need to get started.

Mask, Gun& barrel plug if buying used purchaced seperately, Hopper, Co2 tank(and fill), barrel squeege, paint balls (some feilds only allow their paint on the feild though)

You may also want ,; spare o-rings,special clothing(ie.camo) includeing gloves (paint balls can hurt your knuckles), goggle spray and paper towel/Kleenex( looking through a smeared paintball mask sux!),team arm band and or air horn at some point

ALL this can be picked up as a PACKAGE DEAL.
I recomend a TIPPMAN 98 , TIPPMANN 98 Custom Pro. starter set.
( they are acurate, simple, durable and reasonably priced contain all you need and a spare O-ring kit)
(aprox. $248 as a package deal Canadian Tire.)

( there are lots of other brands ( JT, Brass Eagle, Pirhana, Spyder etc.) that also offer theese starter kits but it depends on $$$ you want to spend and how serious of a player you want to be.
All theese items can be purchaced seporately . Often theese are better gear selections but more long term $$$ investments..

Filling an HPA/N2 tank for paintball is about the same price or less than CO2 tanks. Problem is that it's harder to find places to fill N2/HPA tanks. Try local scuba shops and I know most paintball fields fill air.

Cheapest: $30 brass eagle pump, includes pocket hopper & some 12gram co2 cartridges, sold at walmart.

Most Expensive: $1,795 Eclipse SL94 + $150 hopper (3 hoppers are in that same range, Rotor, Prophecy & Pinokio) + $230 MacDev LegionAir hpa tank + $190 Dye Ultralite barrel w/ titanium back (not a kit, just that barrel) = $2365 total.

I didn't include private label guns or custom anno jobs because prices always vary, although the most expensive anno job ever is an oil slick or aurora finish (gloss metallic rainbow, looks like a shiny oil slick in a parking lot). That anno job itself costs a grand or more because the process is highly complicated – so complicated, if it's messed up, the gun body itself has to be scrapped.

they should come right out in the wash. if not, then ask your bro what paintballs if they are water subtle, then ask for a paintball. then take a clear cup and make a puncture in the shell of the paintball. squeeze the paint out of the ball into a see-through cup. add water and stir the mixture until the mix looks the same all around. then let it sit for a few minutes. then check if the mix has oil in it, which is always on top of the mixture. if you find oil, use dawn and don't let your bro use your cleats again. hopes this helps!

Go to your local hobby shop and purchase small cased ball bearings. Take the axles with you so you can fit the bearing to the size of the axle. You will have to drill holes in the wheels so the bearings would fit in the wheels. Use a unsealed, "flanged" bearing and use a light oil(not thick). Like slick 50.

In paintball, we have what's called an industry standard for most things. This means no matter what brand gun you have; hoses, fittings, batteries, asa mounts, etc, are all the same size. This is to make it easier for places to have what they need to fix guns, so they don't have to have 80 different sizes of everything. Spyder is a different story. They find whatever is cheapest in Japan for them to get, which are all weird sizes nobody has. This makes their guns very difficult and sometimes even impossible to fix with parts available in the US. The best starter gun by far is the Smart Parts Vibe. They are incredible guns for the price, very reliable, and there are parts for them everywhere. The basic one only comes in black but there is a better (but slightly pricier) version that comes in red. Your boyfriend will be thrilled with the gun, and once he knows more about paintball, he will thank you a lot you didn't get a spyder. Also he needs a loader and tank to go with the gun. Sl33k (Shocker lube) is Dow33. I (and everyone else that I know who have been playing competitively for years) always used Dow55 on regulators. You can buy it at a paintball shop or at a hardware store in bulk for a third of the price.

The Spyder Pilot ACS adjusts via the knob on the back of the marker. The knob has an allen screw in it, mounted off center, that holds the knob into place. Take an allen key an loosen the screw so you can turn the knob. If you have not adjusted the velocity before, loosen the screw as far as possible (or even just remove it) so you have the max adjustment range available.

To increase velocity – turn the knob clockwise. To decrease velocity, turn the knob counter-clockwise. Once you have the correct velocity, you can tighted back the allen screw to lock in the setting.

The reason advocates of the second amendment are opposed to requiring permits/license to own/posses a gun is two fold.

1) Most believe that increase gun control does nothing to reduce crime, and only makes it more difficult for law abiding citizens to get a gun. How often do you think crimes are committed with guns that are acquired legally? Do you think the person that does a drive by or mugs someone at gunpoint went through the legal steps to acquire the gun? Probably not. Most likely he stole it or bought it on the black market. So gun control does little to reduce crime.

You might say. “Why is it such a big deal for a law abiding citizen to take a few extra steps to get a gun? If he/she isn’t doing anything wrong, then why should he/she care if the government wants to know he has a gun?” Well that brings us to reason #2

2) There are two things you need to remember about the 2nd amendment. a) when was it written? and b) by who?. It was written by the “People” who had just fought a war for two years against their government. The second amendment was written because the “People” that wrote it, understood at some point they may not like how their government is treating them and may need to defend themselves against the government again. If the purpose of owning a gun is so that you can defend yourself from the government, then why would you want the government to have a list of every gun that every American owns? It makes it that much easier for the government to take them away.

No, I do not see any need to overthrow the government or defend myself. However, this country is supposed to be governed for the people and by the people. People having guns and the ability to stand up against a corrupt or tyrannical government is what keeps the government in check.

Not to sound cruel, but if you're the kind of person who is likely to cry if hit sufficiently hard, then maybe pantball isn't for you.

Paintball hurts more than airsoft. The guns are much more powerful and fire a heavier projectile. (Just a shame they can't to it very far or accurately! )

A point blank hit from an airsoft gun (running about 400fps) will leave bloody welts which will eventually heal over.

A point blank hit from a relatively low powered paintball marker (like those used for rentals at many sites) will lleave a scar.

You need lots and lots and lots of lube and patience. #subtweet

Well, none of them are exactly affordable. The cheapest would be used ones, like any pump made by Sheridan, Kingman Hammers if you can find them, PMI Mavericks. Autocockers are pretty popular as pumps, as they can be converted from a semi to a pump just by switching their front block with a pump handle assembly (like a 2-in-1 gun). All except the Autocockers can be found for less than a $100, while Autococker prices vary, depending on the make & model.

But for new ones, Azodin has the cheapest, the Kaos pump for $150. It's not the best but it's got some good reviews. Worth the price, definitely.

The next up are CCI Phantoms, which start in the $200 range. Base models are actually stock class, which means there's a small tube on top that only holds about 10 paintballs, and the gun uses co2 cartridges. But they can be converted to use hoppers & normal tanks, just need to purchase those parts when ordering.

Check-It Products is releasing their line of pumps soon for $350, although that means there aren't any reviews for it yet.

Then there's the high ends, like $500+. CCM, Sanchez Machine, etc. Perfect pumps but definitely leave your wallet hurting.

Many pumps, especially the $350 & up ones, are majorly based off the Autococker design.

As for slash, yes he’s an incredible guitarist, but his ego is bigger than his hat and he’s had too many instances of acting out like a jerk. (Axl earned the right, btw, slash didn’t). I have to admit I’m actually much more fond of Dj Ashba instead of slash. Dj has a lot more presence and band respect. Slash turned out to be a turd.
